Even the cleanest home can sometimes have indoor ants. Here are a few ways to help you to get of indoor ants.

The first way is to get rid of scouting ant trails. You cannot simply wipe off the ants because the scout ants leave behind pheromones so that other ants can find the trails. You can get rid of these trails by spraying the area with a mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water.

Another way is to find out what is attracting the ants in the first place. Are there dirty dishes in the sink? Is there a drip on a jar? It could even be your cat and dog dish that is attracting the ants. First, just try to clean up whatever is attracting the ants, and then hopefully the ants will move on.

The last way is to try to repel the ants from returning to your home. You can do this by spraying the entry points into your home with a product with boric acid, make sure you read the instructions carefully because some of these products may be harmful to pets and children. Or you could try spraying these entry points with a natural spray made up of peppermint or lavender oil and water.

These are a few ways to help you get rid of those indoor ants, and hopefully, keep them from returning.
