Sometimes when we try to reduce clutter, we end up with more clutter than we started. Here are a few tips to help you to reduce your clutter.
The first tip is to keep your donation container somewhere in full view instead of hidden away in a closet, where those containers tend to accumulate. Then when the container is full, donate the items right away.
Another tip is to ask yourself if you really need or use an item. For example, if you have accumulated several specialty appliances over the years, try getting rid of the appliances that you have not used multiple times within the year. The same goes for clothing. If you have not worn an item within the year, get rid of it or donate the item.
The last tip has to do with all your loose papers. Have one area where you sort all of your mail. Also, consider digitizing any receipts or documents if you don’t need the physical copies. Also, remember to shred any documents that contain your personal information.
These are just a few tips to help you to get more organized and to help you to reduce your clutter.
